Private day trip to Los Haitises National Park with an exclusive guide. Discover one of the Dominican Republic’s most beautiful natural landscapes. You'll be amazed by its karst landscapes!
Day Trip Details
If you're in Punta Cana, you can't miss a visit to Los Haitises National Park, one of the most stunning natural settings in the Dominican Republic. At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and head to Sabana de la Mar.
Before arriving, we’ll make a stop so you can rest from the journey and take a dip at the beach. Once in Sabana de la Mar, we’ll board a boat that will take us on a cruise through the incredible mangroves of the Caño Hondo River until we reach San Lorenzo Bay.
Throughout the journey, which lasts approximately 2.5 hours, you’ll enjoy the karstic mogotes, the dense red mangrove thickets, and the birds that inhabit the area, such as the brown pelican and the magnificent frigatebird.
We’ll continue the trip to Cueva de la Arena and Cueva de la Línea, two of the most famous caves in Los Haitises. Inside these caves, we’ll find indigenous pictographs and petroglyphs that tell the story of this region. Afterward, we’ll take a kayak tour through the park’s canals.
Our next stop of the day will be the natural pools of Paraíso Caño Hondo, where you’ll have the chance to swim in an incomparable natural setting. Feeling hungry? We’ll recharge our energy with a traditional Dominican lunch featuring dishes such as rice, beans, fish, chicken, and tostones.
After lunch, we’ll travel by an off roading vehicle to Montaña Redonda, where we’ll stop at an incredible viewpoint offering views that will leave you speechless.
Finally, we’ll head back to the starting point, where this 8- to 9-hour day trip will conclude at your hotel.
