Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas and then set off on our day trip to the Grand Canyon. While crossing the Colorado River and going through the Mojave Desert, we'll be entertained by our guide's fascinating narration as we sit back and relax.

Around 2.5 hours later, we'll arrive at the Grand Canyon West, located within the Hualapai Reservation of the Hualapai Nation. Here, you'll have approximately 4 hours of free time to explore the various areas of Grand Canyon West.

Next, we'll head to Eagle Point, where we'll have stunning views of a rock formation that looks like an eagle with outstretched wings. We'll then take a break so you can enjoy some lunch if you wish.

After eating, climb up to the rockpile on Guano Point for incomparable panoramic views of the Colorado River snaking through the Canyon below. Up on the Point, you'll also be able to see the remnants of an old aerial tramway that stretched over the gully to a former guano mine called Bat Cave.

Finally, before leaving the West Rim, we'll visit the displays of Native American dwellings and cultural exhibits of the Hualapai Ranch. Here, you can learn all about the Hualapai Tribe and the geology of the Grand Canyon.

On our way back to Las Vegas, we'll stop at the Arizona Joshua Tree Forest for some photos of these unique trees, the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge for amazing views of the Hoover Dam and the Colorado River, as well as Hemenway Park in Boulder City, to see if we can catch a glimpse of the local Bighorn Sheep.

We'll then take you back to Las Vegas and drop you back off at the meeting point.

Complete your experience

Lunch

The Skywalk is an amazing way to experience the best of the West Rim. The 4000-foot-high (1300 m) glass-bottomed walkway offers unbelievable views over the canyon below. If you book this option, you'll be able to enjoy this thrilling experience between our visits to Eagle Point and Guano Point.

Helicopter and boat ride

You can also choose to add a 5-minute helicopter ride down to the canyon's bottom, where you'll enjoy a relaxing 15-minute pontoon ride along the serene Colorado River. Afterwards, you'll fly back up to the top, taking in the awe-inspiring views from above.
