The Gold of Peru Museum and Weapons of the World houses more than eight thousand pieces that reveal what the customs and beliefs of the pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures were like.
During your tour of the museum, as well as textiles and utensils, mummies and funeral bundles, you'll discover the impressive work of the precious metal craftsmen belonging to pre-Incan cultures from the northern coast of Peru. Masks, bracelets, necklaces... You'll be surprised by the details they managed to carve in gold and precious stones.
The museum also includes the Weapons of the World collection, a fascinating collection of twenty thousand weapons from different periods and origins. You'll be fascinated by the thousands of pieces that include war uniforms, armour and mounts.
This guided tour is excellent for those who want to step back in time to pre-Columbian Peruvian art, as well as explore the Gold of Peru Museum and Weapons of the World in just three hours.
Pick ups will be carried out from all hotels in the following districts:
- Miraflores and San Isidro (between 10 and 40 minutes before the tour starts)
- San Agustin Riviera and Sheraton hotels in downtown Lima (between 50 and 65 minutes before the tour starts).
