If you're visiting Los Angeles, don't miss out on a unique experience in the City of Stars! Book your ticket to the Getty Center and explore this modern complex perched on top of the Santa Monica Hills.
The Getty Center in Los Angeles was inaugurated in 1997 to house the private art collection and donations of businessman and philanthropist J. Paul Getty. The complex is made of 16,000 tons of beige-colored marble, making it one of the most remarkable elements of the center. What's more, this material, which perfectly captures the light of Southern California, contrasts with the curvilinear shapes and manicured gardens throughout the complex.
Art lovers are sure to be captivated upon entry, where paintings by Van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet, Degas, El Greco, and invaluable sculptures from Italy, the Netherlands, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom, fill the halls and galleries of the complex.
Even if you're not a huge art fan, you'll fall in love with a walk through the gardens of the Getty Center. Designed to be explored, strolling along the winding paths you'll find different plant species, fountains, streams and a natural ravine that looks different every season.
Plus, thanks to your audio guide, you can learn all about the history behind the masterpieces housed at the Getty Center, from the Middle Ages to the present day, making it one of the must-see museums in Los Angeles!
