Travel back in time to the Middle Ages on this guided tour of historic Lucerne. An enchanting wooden bridge, a 700-year-old tower and much more awaits you!
Lucerne Walking Tour
At the scheduled time, meet your guide under the monumental arch at Lucerne's train station. We'll begin to talk about the history of this picturesque Swiss city as we make our way towards the banks of the River Reuss.
We'll soon reach the famous Chapel Bridge or Kapellbrücke, the second longest Medieval bridge in Europe. This enchanting covered wooden footbridge is decorated with historic paintings dating back to the 17th century! From here, we'll also get to see the Wasserturm, or water tower, a symbol of Lucerne.
Continuing our guided walking tour of Luzern, as the city is called in German, we'll stop at St Leodegar's Church and the Lion Monument. Your guide will reveal the link this feline statue has to the Swiss Guard. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a walk through the main streets of Lucerne's historic centre, reaching the Town Hall, or Rathaus, whose magnificent clock is sure to captivate you.
Our two hour guided tour will come to an end next to the city's Jesuit church, Jesuitenkirche.
