Join a free walking tour of Lugo and stroll through the ancient Roman city's historic city center, one of northern Spain's historical highlights!
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Lugo City Hall. Are you ready to explore Lugo and see some of its most important sights?
First, the guide will share the Roman history of the city and how it has evolved today. Then, we'll head to the Lugo Cathedral, a Romanesque-style cathedral declared a World Heritage Site. Did you know it's one of the main stops on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route?
We'll take a short walk around the Roman wall, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, as we head to the Plaza de Abastos, where you'll see the traditional market. Afterward, we'll head to the central area, in the Praza do Campo, which was used as a market in the past. Today, it's the main meeting point for locals to enjoy tapas and a drink. At this lively square, the guide will recommend some restaurants and bars for you to enjoy.
Finally, our free walking tour of Lugo will conclude here after 1 hour and 45 minutes and 2 hours.
This free tour doesn't admit groups of more than 6 people, even if they book the activity separately. If you're traveling in a larger group, we recommend checking out this private tour of Lugo.
