Complete Mexico City Tour Itinerary
Having picked you up first thing in the morning we begin our tour of around 11 hours through the cultural heritage of Mexico City
We begin in the Teotihuacán archaeological site, at the best possible time, with the sun just peeking over the tops of the pyramids and before the masses of tourists reach the area. As we see the Sun Pyramid, the Quetzalpápalotl Palace, the Road of the Dead, the Moon Pyramid and the Quetzalcoatl temple, we'll discover why the Aztecs thought the gods had created the universe here.
In the afternoon we'll pass through Mexico City's historic centre, admiring the fusion of cultures in its buildings, houses and streets, which inspired UNESCO to declare the city a World Heritage Site.
We'll take a look at Constitution Square, popularly known as "the plinth", built over what was once the centre of Gran Tenochtitlán, capital of Aztec culture. Here you can admire the impressive colonial architecture of the Metropolitan Cathedral (the largest in Latin America) and the National Palace, headquarters of Mexican political life since the period of the viceroy.
The tour passes through some of the most bustling streets in the Mexican capital, arriving at the Bellas Artes Palace to admire the mix of Art Nouveau y Art Deco styles. We'll also discover the world-renowned Angel of Independence, which has become a symbol of the city.
After an unforgettable day in Mexico City and its surrounding areas, we'll finish the tour in the centre of the city.
