Swiss Alps + St. Moritz on the Bernina Express

550 reviews | 5,532 travellers
The excursion is worth it. There is no photo that can reveal the wonder of the Swiss Alps, you have to see it with your own eyes. The very loving guide, I handle the times very well and predisposed to answer questions. In my opinion, more information was spontaneously missing from the guide, telling more about the history of the places visited

Swiss Alps + St. Moritz on the Bernina Express

Leaving Milan at 7:15 am we'll head north and, crossing the Lake District, we'll reach St. Moritz, known as "The Summit of the World".

In St. Moritz you will have some free time to explore the luxurious shops or enjoy a delicious hot chocolate. The Bernina Express route departs from St. Moritz at 1:30 pm.

The icing on the cake is when you board the Bernina, a train that runs along one of the most spectacular railway routes in the world. The journey to Tirano takes two and a half hours. Along the way, we pass over the spiral viaduct at Brusio, over the Bernina Pass and through places like Engadina, one of the region's most famous valleys.

In Tirano, one of the last towns in Italy before reaching Switzerland, you'll have two hours free to explore the historic centre, have lunch and a coffee.

To enjoy the Alps from another point of view, we'll return to Milan by car, arriving in the city around 7:30 pm.

What's the train like?

The journey takes place in a regional train with classic windows (not panoramic), which can be lowered to take better pictures of the scenery during the journey.
