On this tour, we'll leave Morelia behind and experience the Day of the Dead in Pátzcuaro, one of the most magical, profound, and colorful traditions in all of Mexico. You'll have free time to explore this legendary Pueblo Mágico full of marigold flowers, altars, candles, and traditional markets at your own pace.
We'll meet at the Plaza Morelos to set off toward Pátzcuaro, one of the epicenters of the mystical celebration of All Souls' Day in the state of Michoacán. After a drive of approximately 1.5 hours, we'll arrive at this emblematic Colonial city.
Once we're in Pátzcuaro, we'll give you a detailed map of the city with all the recommendations and indications necessary to get your bearings and discover its most iconic corners. From this moment, you'll have free time to explore the city at your own pace. If you choose the morning slot, you'll have 8.5 hours of free time, and if you choose the afternoon slot, you'll have 3.5 hours.
During your visit, you can let yourselves soak up the characteristic copal aroma, admire the adorned facades with thick rugs of marigold flowers, and marvel at the warmth of the lights that illuminate the cemeteries and altars.
Plus, you'll have the chance to stroll along its lively craft markets, taste its local cuisine, and, if you want, head to the port to enjoy a speedboat ride to the famous island of Janitzio. It will be unforgettable!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point at the indicated location to start our journey back by bus to the Plaza Morelos in Morelia.
