Delve into New York’s most multiethnic neighborhoods during a 4.5-hour guided sightseeing tour and discover the city’s unexplored boroughs including Harlem, The Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn. Learn about the various cultures, eat their food and visit numerous iconic landmarks.

New York Contrasts Tour

Greet your knowledgeable English-speaking guide in front of the Sheraton Hotel (811 7th Ave) and set off on a comfortable bus to the Upper East Side, after crossing Pershing Square Viaduct, which offers great views of the world-famous Grand Central Terminal. After crossing the Upper East Side, considered one of the most chic and upscale neighborhoods in Manhattan, head to the Spanish Harlem before you get to The Bronx.

This locality is known as the Salsa Borough, and the area that saw Jennifer Lopez grow up. Not to mention, where the best Yankees players live.

Upon arrival in The Bronx, stop to admire the Yankees Stadium and Fort Apache, one of NYPD’s Precinct Station House, famous for being the set of the film Fort Apache, The Bronx. The bus will continue to the famous Grand Concourse and South Bronx, full of colorful graffiti (don’t miss the numerous graffiti dedicated to the former rapper, Big Pun).

The bus will stop at Arthur Avenue, so you can get a feel for this genuine Italian-American sector of the Belmont District, full of delicious Italian restaurants and cafés.

The next destination is Randall’s Island and Queens, the largest and most multicultural borough of New York. Here you’ll visit Malba, an elite enclave full of impressive mansions, located on the other side of the Whitestone Bridge.

You will probably recognize the next stop as several movies have filmed numerous scenes here, including Men in Black and Come to America. Flushing Meadows Corona Park is also home to the New York Mets (Citi Field) and where the US Open Tennis takes place yearly. The Queens Museum of Art is also situated here.

Leaving Queens behind, you will head to Brooklyn. Here, you will explore Williamsburg, inhabited by a large Jewish community, currently considered the second largest orthodox Jewish community in the world. The change of culture, language, customs and lifestyle is extremely palpable.

In Williamsburg, you will have a chance to discover Fortunato Bros, famous for its fine pastry, cookies, cappuccino, cakes and ice-cream.

You will also enjoy the best views of Manhattan and the famous Brooklyn Bridge from this neighborhood.
