At the scheduled time, we'll depart from the Isla Perico Cruise Terminal for an unforgettable boat tour through the Panama Canal, exploring its main locks and the nature that surrounds this engineering masterpiece.
First, we'll sail along Panama City’s southern coast toward the Bridge of the Americas. Welcome to the gateway to the Panama Canal! Throughout the journey, we'll learn the history of this impressive engineering marvel as we enjoy live music and a folkloric dance show on board, adding color and fun to the journey.
Next, we’ll head to the Miraflores Locks, and then we'll continue to the Pedro Miguel Locks and the Culebra Cut—a huge man-made valley linking Gatún Lake with the waters of the Gulf of Panama.
As we admire the views of the Culebra Cut, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch featuring a delicious typical Panamanian dish, accompanied by unlimited coffee and soft drinks.
The final part of the tour takes place on Gatun Lake, in the vicinity of the Chagres River and the lush Gamboa rainforest, where we can see the lush tropical vegetation and the biodiversity of this site, home to monkeys, turtles, alligators, and exotic birds.
From this spot at the entrance of the lake, we’ll return to the departure pier, concluding this 5-hour activity.
