Free Walking Tour of Peratallada
Free Walking Tour of Peratallada
At the designated time, we'll meet at the center of Peratallada to begin this free tour of one of the prettiest towns in Bajo Ampurdán. Let's start!
We'll explore this town, declared a historic and artistic heritage site, and discover its magnificent complex of houses and buildings. Did you know that the medieval center of Peratallada is one of the best-preserved in Catalonia? Walking along the cobblestone streets is a real journey back in time to the time of the nobility and gentlemen who were the main protagonists of the time. You'll never forget the charm here!
During our free tour, we'll walk toward the Peratallada Castle, where objects dating back to the Pre-Romansque times were found during a renovation in 1969. Afterward, we'll pass by the Portal de la Virgen, on our way to the Torre del Homenaje and the Torre de las Horas. Here, you'll climb up to admire the best scenic views of this picturesque town. Don't forget to take a picture!
Our last stop? The old Plaza del Mercado Square, also known as the Plaça de les Voltes, is a place that has been the heart of Peratallada for centuries. To put the cherry on top of this day, we'll experience the vibrant culture and traditions in this strategic point that make this village a truly unforgettable spot.
After 1.5 hours of discovering the corners of Peratallada, we'll say our goodbyes in Plaça de les Voltes.
