Activity Details
At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Praia and start a tour of the agricultural traditions of the island of Santiago. Let's go!
We'll head to the largest banana plantation in Cape Verde. There, we'll take a walking tour of the farm to learn all about the fruits of the island, as well as the work behind their cultivation and subsequent harvesting.
Afterward, we'll head to the nearby town of Orgãos, where a local family will be waiting to teach us how to prepare one of the most traditional recipes on the island, couscous. We'll learn how to cook this traditional dish, made with corn flour. What's more, once we have our aprons on, we'll also learn how to cook fidjós, made with banana and oatmeal.
To end this culinary experience in the best way, we'll sit down to taste our hard work while we continue sharing stories and experiences with the Orgãos family.
From here, we'll get back on the road and, traveling along beautiful landscapes, arrive back at your hotel in Praia 4 hours later.
