Sightseeing Bus Tour of Salvador de Bahia
We will start the panoramic tour by picking you up from your hotel in the center of Salvador. We then head to the famous neighborhood of Barra, where you will come up close to the city's emblematic lighthouse.
We will head towards the Dique do Tororó, a natural spring located in the heart of the Brazilian city. Here, you can take some amazing pictures of this beautiful lake decorated with sculptures of the Candomblé religion, which reflects the Afro-Brazilian cultural mix that characterizes Salvador.
Our bus ride then continues along the coastline of All Saints Bay, the second-longest in the world, until we reach the Casa de Prentice, an artisan workshop where traditional sculptures and paintings of the area are made.
Before leaving the bay area, you can enjoy a delicious local ice cream and try some of Brazil's exotic fruits.
Then we arrive at the principle location on this panoramic tour, the Church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim. This Catholic temple is one of the most popular in Salvador, due to its long, fascinating history. Don't forget to take one of the famous Senhor do Bonfim bracelets. Our guide will tell you all about the history of these legendary amulets.
Leaving superstitions and faith behind us, we then head to the Fort of Nuestra Señora de Montserrat, where you will enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city. This is the perfect opportunity to capture a permanent memory of this amazing trip on your camera.
Finally, before returning to the hotels, we will visit the Mercado Modelo marketplace where local handicrafts and products are traditionally sold.
