Description
Some of the most important monuments included on these routes are the Mirabell Palace, the Fountain of the Horses, Salzburg Cathedral, Mozart Square, Church of the Holy Trinity. During the journey, you'll listen to an audio guide in English with fascinating facts about the city's main landmarks and the places which played an important role in the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
- Yellow line: This line passes through the main monuments of the city and through the original locations where the famous film The Sound of Music was shot.
- Blue line: On this line, in addition to seeing Salzburg, we'll cross the German border to Berchtesgaden. We'll pass historic landmarks such as the famous Kehlsteinhaus, which has been a mountain inn since 1952. In addition, you'll enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Salzach Valley and the Berchtesgadener Land region. This line won't be available from October 1st, 2023, it will resume operations in March 2024.

How it works
Your ticket will be activated when you access the Salzburg tourist bus service for the first time. You can then hop on and off as many times as you want for a period of 24, 48, or 72 hours.
The bus begins at Mirabellplatz, but you can access it at any of the designated stops.
Times & frequency
The tourist bus through the center of Salzburg runs year-long and lasts for approximately one hour. The service operates every day from 9:15 am to 4:45 pm. From March 16 - January 14, the bus departs every 30 minutes. From January 15 - March 15, the bus departs every 45 minutes.
