The tour was great and our guide and driver was excellent, giving us a lot of info, hints and insights for the whole tour. The Sonoma part was the gem of the day, but I expected more from Napa. I don't know if the property of choice was not the best one, but, for me the tour could have ended better, also showing us more of Napa valley as a whole

Tour Options

During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between the following two options, which vary based on their duration and the number of wineries visited. Both meet up at 99 Jefferson Street, located in the heart of the iconic Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Below, you can check out the specifics of each option:

Half-Day Trip (6 Hours)

We'll meet up just after midday and set off on an adventure to discover the best of Northern California's winemaking culture. To begin with, we'll cross the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge, and the guide will share fascinating fun facts about this iconic landmark and other unmissable places in San Francisco.

After traveling through Sausalito, we'll leave the city behind and enter into wine country, where we'll begin to see stunning rolling green landscapes as far as the eye can see. We'll drive for about an hour before reaching the first winery, where we'll tour the grounds and learn about the inner workings of the estate and their family history, as well as the fermentation process, barrel aging, and bottling of their wines.

In total, we'll visit 2 wineries, where you'll be able to taste between 3-5 of their signature blends at each, learning to distinguish the subtle nuances of the different varieties with an expert wine host.

Finally, we'll return to San Francisco, hopefully catching a breathtaking sunset over the Pacific Ocean on the way, and we'll say our goodbyes back at the original meeting point.

Full-Day Trip (9 Hours)

Craving more adventure and an even deeper immersion into Napa and Sonoma Valley? This full-day option is for you!

After meeting up in the morning, we'll take a mini city tour during which we'll cross the towering Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito before delving into the heart of Californian wine country.

We'll take a scenic drive for about an hour before reaching the first winery, where we'll tour the grounds and learn the ins and outs of the winemaking process and history in the area. On this tour, we'll visit a total of 3 wineries, where we'll do 3-5 tastings at each of some of their finest wines.

At lunchtime, we'll take a break from all the wine immersion and heat to downtown Sonoma, a charming town where you'll have free time to explore and grab some lunch near the picturesque square. You'll also be able to stroll through some of the one-of-a-kind boutique shops and local art galleries.

Finally, in the afternoon, we'll begin our journey back to San Francisco, where we'll say our goodbyes at the starting point after a jam-packed day of wine tourism.
