Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the Paseo de Federico García Lorca, to leave San Sebastián behind and set off to the Basque Coast. Ready?

After a journey of around 2 hours, we'll reach our first stop of the day: San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Here, we'll admire the iconic chapel perched above the Cantabrian Sea, a scene fans of Game of Thrones are sure to instantly recognise it as Dragonstone.

You’ll hear the waves crashing against the cliffs and enjoy breathtaking views as we explore the ancient stronghold of House Targaryen and the spectacular beauty of this spot on the Bermeo coast.

We'll continue our day trip to Bilbao, where we'll go on a guided tour of its most important spots. We'll pass by the Old Town Viejo, admire the Teatro Arriaga, the Plaza Nueva, the Church of San Antón, and the area of Abando. During the tour, you'll understand how the maritime tradition and the industrial past coexist today with the city's surprising contemporary architecture.

In the afternoon, you'll have free time in the historic center to discover the most typical bars and taste classic pintxos ike cod or gildas. Lastly, we'll give you an introduction of the Guggenheim Museum. If you have booked the option with a ticket, you'll have time to visit it.

Finally, after a total of 9 hours, we'll return to the meeting point in San Sebastián.

Guggenheim Museum Tickets

During the booking process, you can choose between the following options:

• Day Trip Without Guggenheim Museum Ticket: includes transport, a guide during the entire day, and a guided tour of Gaztelugatxe and the center of Bilbao. It's the ideal option if you prefer to spend more free time in the city or if you only want to see the Guggenheim Museum from the outside.
• Day Trip With Guggenheim Museum Ticket: this option includes everything mentioned in the previous option, plus an admission ticket to the museum and an introduction from the guide. After explaining the architecture by Frank Gehry from the outside, you'll enter the museum with an audio guide to visit the exhibitions at your own pace before we return to San Sebastián.
