Day Trip Details
Want to explore the tropical forest found in the Costa Rican Central Valley? After picking you up from your hotel, we'll begin our journey towards Alajuela, where one of the country's most beautiful natural spots awaits us.
Once we've reached our destination, we'll head into the forest until we reach La Paz Waterfall Gardens. As soon as we arrive, we'll hop out of the vehicle and immediately feel the humidity from the dense vegetation. We'll get ready to hike along a trail that will take us to various environments within this natural park.
We'll pass by the aviary, where we'll enjoy the songs of its large bird population, and visit one of the biggest butterfly gardens in Costa Rica. Of course, we'll also visit the hummingbird area, the snake enclosure, and the site that houses Costa Rica's popular red frogs. Keep your eyes peeled, as when you least expect it, we might spot one of the country's symbols on the tree branches: the sloth. See if they give us a sleepy hello!
Hungry? To re-energise after our trek, we'll enjoy a buffet-style lunch with local ingredients. Afterwards, we'll continue this day trip by walking through the forest, following the sound of water until we reach La Paz Waterfall. Additionally, we'll also get to visit other impressive waterfalls in the park that all originate from the La Paz River. Make sure your cameras are ready to take photos at all times!
Lastly, we'll return to the initial starting point and say our goodbyes back at your hotel after a total of 8 hours.
