Greet the famous giant tortoises and iguanas of the Galapagos Islands with this walking tour of the Charles Darwin Research Station, a must if you're on Santa Cruz Island!
Charles Darwin Research Station Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at your hotel in Puerto Ayora and walk together to the Charles Darwin Research Station, one of the most remarkable places in the Galapagos Islands.
We'll step inside this biological research station, operated by the Charles Darwin Foundation, to greet the tortoises, iguanas, and land birds that live here. We'll share loads of info about these animals, as well as about the work carried out by Darwin during his studies.
The tour will also take us through the giant cactus forests and the active breeding center. During the walk, we'll tell you about the research that's currently being carried out in this center, especially regarding environmental conservation.
After a 2.5-hour guided tour, we'll say our goodbyes at the entrance of the Charles Darwin Research Station.
Hotel Pickup
The tour includes pickup from hotels located within the city center of Puerto Ayora. If you are staying in another area or at a private accommodation (such as Airbnb), we'll contact you to let you know a nearby meeting point. Please note that drop-off back at your hotel is not included.
