Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip
Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north of the capital, taking the Los Libertadores highway.
Along the way, we’ll make a quick stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. We’ll then continue our ascent into the Andes until we reach one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the region, where we’ll get a stunning view of the Salto del Soldado Canyon, a historic site tied to a key moment in Chile’s history. If we’re lucky, we might even spot condors soaring nearby!
Back on the minibus, we’ll travel to the El Portillo ski resort, one of the best spots for snow sports and home to the oldest ski hotel in South America. After discovering this incredible place, we'll pass by the Viña San Esteban to learn about the wine culture of the Aconcagua Valley and enjoy a delicious wine tasting.
Lastly, we'll head to the famous Laguna del Inca, close to the Argentine border. The beauty of this lagoon, nestled in the Andes, is only enhanced by the legendary tale hidden in its waters—want to hear it? We’ll also enjoy a delicious empanada snack while we take in the views.
After spending 40 minutes enjoying the lagoon, we’ll head back to Santiago de Chile and end our day trip 10 hours later.

On Sundays, the wine tasting and vineyard tours will be held at Ventisquero.
