Horse Ride in Yerba Loca
Horse Ride in Yerba Loca Nature Sanctuary
Early in the morning, we will collect you from your hotel before heading east from the capital. After a 40 minute journey, we find ourselves in Yerba Loca, the gateway to the magnificent La Paloma glacier.
Once there, the guide will give us basic instructions on how to be an authentic horsemen for the day. Saddled up, with our helmets on, and reins in our hand, we will head off along a wonderful route through the beautiful valleys and mountain passes that characterize this part of the country.
After an hour and a half riding through breathtaking natural landscapes, we arrive at an abandoned refuge that was built in 1938 by a Santiago mountain club. We pause there for an hour to enjoy a picnic lunch while contemplating the stunning views across the Andes mountain range.
Having regained our strength, we will ride back to the original starting point and then catch the bus back to Santiago. At the end of the tour, we will drop you back at your accommodation.
