Formula 1 in São Paulo: 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix
From November 6 to 8, 2026, the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix will take place at the iconic Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo.
With your 3-day pass, you can enjoy an unforgettable weekend at the 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix, officially known as the MSC Cruises Grande Prêmio de São Paulo 2026.
Without a doubt, the José Carlos Pace Autodrome in São Paulo, popularly known as the Interlagos Circuit, is one of the great icons of motorsports in Latin America.
Free Practice sessions 1, 2, and 3 will take place on November 6 and 7. Qualifying will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, November 7, and finally, on Sunday, November 8, the most anticipated moment will arrive: the 71-lap race.
Interlagos stands out as one of the shortest circuits on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar, with a length of 4.309 kilometers (2.677 mi). However, it is one of the most demanding tracks for drivers. Sixty-eight percent of the track is driven at full throttle, combining fast straights with a very twisty inner section.
The most popular section of the circuit is the famous Senna S. This is the name given to the combination of the first and second turns at Interlagos. It consists of a sharp left-hand descent that immediately leads into a right-hand turn, forming the characteristic “S” shape in honor of the legendary driver Ayrton Senna.
The track features significant elevation changes, especially between the famous “Senna S” and the middle sector. In fact, there is an elevation difference of nearly 43 meters (141.08 ft) between different points on the circuit. Additionally, it is one of the few Formula 1 circuits raced counterclockwise, which places extra physical strain on the drivers’ necks and shoulders.
Meanwhile, the weather in São Paulo tends to change rapidly, with sudden rain showers being very common in November. This greatly influences various factors, such as tire selection strategies and pit stops.
In short, all these elements make the Brazilian Grand Prix one of the most exciting races in the championship. Without a doubt, Formula 1 in São Paulo is a truly special event!
