Tour Details

We'll meet at the entrance to the Italia building to begin a guided tour of Sao Paulo's historic center. Look up! This 168 m (550 ft) tall skyscraper was designated a Historic Landmark for its perfect vertical architecture.

We'll then pass by the Municipal Theatre, an eclectic construction inspired by the Paris Opera House.

As we continue walking, we'll come to the Ramos de Azevedo Square, followed by the Pátio do Colégio. This place was built in the 16th century with the intention of catechizing the area's indigenous populations, which led to conflicts between missionaries and colonizers.

We'll then go to the Aroma e Sabor restaurant, where you'll have the options to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. While we eat a lovely lunch, we'll look out at incredible views of the São Bento Monastery and the Farol de Santander building.

After lunch, we'll head to the area of Liberdade to explore Sao Paulo's Japanese neighbourhood. We'll talk about the traditions and lifestyle in this community and remember when they started to settle here.

Finally, we'll wrap up this four-hour tour in Liberdade.
