Are you a wine enthusiast? With this day trip to Sao Roque, known as the city of wine, you'll try the excellent wines and also go to the Cacau Show chocolate factory.
Description
We'll leave Sao Paulo in the morning and start our trip towards the wine region, of which Sao Roque is the true star.
When we reach this town, located around 43 miles (70 km) from the metropolis of Sao Paulo, we'll take you straight away to discover 4 of the most famous wineries of the "city of wine." At these different wineries, you'll taste the different wines, accompanied by some typical cheese and sweets. You'll even try the famous cachaça!
Our first stop is at the Vinícola Terra do Vinho, where we'll learn how the different types of house wines, liqueurs, and sparkling wines are produced. Next, we'll arrive at Vinícola Canguera, which has a line of fine and full-bodied wines.
We'll continue on to Frank's Winery, which has a number of house wines, before making our way to visit Vinícola Canquera and then to Palmeiras - where we'll find the largest and most traditional winery in the region: Vinícola Goes - a perfect place to take some photos!
At Vinícola Quinta do Olivardo, a typical Portuguese house, we'll have a lunch break before visiting the vineyards and learning about the production process of the famous "Vino de Muertos." Now that we've refueled, we'll continue our tour, but now we'll swap wine for shopping!
Are you ready to shop till you drop? Our next stop will be La Mega Tienda, located in the Cacau Show chocolate factory.
