Jeonju & Jangtaesan Day Trip
Trip Details
We'll pick you up in the morning at the meeting point in Seoul to start this day trip to Jeonju Village. We'll board a vehicle for a 3.5-hour drive to Jeollabuk-do Province. Let's get started!
Our first stop will be Jeonju Hanok Village, the largest in Korea, where you'll have 3.5 hours to explore. It's more than 800 hanoks, or traditional Korean houses, that preserve the form and cultural values of the Joseon Dynasty. You'll see the striking contrast with the modern city!
During the walk, you'll notice the distinctive curved roofs with black tiles, called giwa, designed to promote ventilation and protect homes from the rain. Did you know that many hanoks are built according to principles of harmony with nature?
You'll also have 1 hour of free time so you can rent a hanbok, the traditional Korean costume, and take photos among wooden facades, artisanal workshops, and small tea houses. We also recommend trying Jeonju's famous bibimbap, one of Korea's most iconic dishes. It's a delicious dish made with rice, vegetables, meat, egg, and fermented chili paste.
Next, we’ll head to Jangtaesan, a spectacular redwood forest where you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore.
Finally, we'll board the bus again for the drive back to Seoul. The trip will end at the same starting point after a total of 12.5 hours.

Please note that children under 2 years old can travel for free, but they must sit on their parents' lap on the bus.
