Can you imagine strolling through the halls of Europe’s oldest royal palace still in use, without the crowds? On this early-morning guided tour of the Alcázar of Seville, you’ll have the chance to enter the monument as soon as it opens. As some of the first to enter, you’ll enjoy a truly unique experience!

Guided Tour Details

The tour begins in the Hall of Justice and the Plaster Courtyard. This is the oldest part of the complex, where we’ll discover the remains of the 12th-century Almohad palace and admire its iconic horseshoe arches and delicate plasterwork.

We'll continue to the Casa de la Contratación, the Renaissance building from which trade with the New World was controlled. There, we will visit the Admiral’s Hall and the Chapel of the Navigators, true centers of Spanish imperial power during the Age of Exploration.

The highlight of the tour will be the Palace of King Pedro. In this section, we will explore the Hall of Ambassadors beneath its impressive gilded dome, the Courtyard of the Maidens, the intimate Mudejar-style Courtyard of the Dolls, the Hall of Charles V with its Flemish tapestries, and the historic Bedroom of the Moorish Kings.

After soaking in the architecture, we’ll head outside to explore the Gardens of La Galera, with their formal Renaissance design, and the Gardens of Troy and Dance, where centuries-old orange trees and hedge mazes create an incredibly peaceful atmosphere.

One of the most photogenic moments will come as we descend to the Baths of Doña María de Padilla. These underground barrel vaults offer a beautiful play of light and shadow on the water.

We'll then walk through the Gallery of the Grotesque, a corridor decorated with 16th-century Italian murals, until we reach the Mercury Pond. After admiring the Gothic Palace, whose high ceilings contrast with the rest of the complex, we’ll give you a few final minutes to wander through the gardens. Be sure to visit the English Garden and the Flower Garden.

1 hour later, we’ll wrap up the tour.
