Cordoba Day Trip from Seville
Step back in time to discover the contrast between the Roman Period and the Caliphate period in the famous Andalusian city with this Cordoba Day trip from Seville.
Cordoba Day Trip from Seville
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at the established meeting points in Seville and depart to the ancient Caliphal capital of Cordoba.
After a brief stop in Carmona, a beautiful white village in the province of Seville, we'll arrive in the breathtaking city of Cordoba: one of the 15 Spanish cities that has the distinction of being declared a World Heritage Site.
We'll take a guided tour of the historic center of Cordoba, in a pleasant walk through the Roman Bridge, the old Jewish quarter, the Royal Stables, and the Synagogue (closed on Mondays). We'll also stop at the colorful courtyards of Cordoba, where you can take some nice pictures.
After touring the old town of Cordoba, you'll have lunch at your own leisure following the guide's recommendations, and you'll have 30 to 45 minutes of free time for shopping or strolling around on your own.
In the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. Inside you'll be able to admire its brilliant golden mosaics and the careful ornamentation of its endless row of arches and the mihrab, the sacred space that indicates the direction to Mecca. You'll be amazed after admiring its contrasts and you'll quickly discover why this place is considered the most important monument of Western Islamic art.
At the end of the guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, we'll return to the meeting points in Seville, arriving at 7 pm.
