    Attending one of these tours is actually not for the faint hearted. You will learn about the history and context of the mafia and how they have infiltrated every layer of Italian society, including up to the highest judiciary and political arenas. Our guide, Attilio, was obviously very passionate about this whole subject and didn’t hold back in any detail. In fact, it left me depressed and sick to my stomach that people are capable of such atrocity. And yet, as Attilio explained, there is hope.
