Sighisoara, the birthplace of the legendary Count Dracula, is one of the most beautiful and mysterious cities in the Romanian region of Transylvania. Dare to discover its history on this guided tour!

Sighisoara Guided Tour

When making your reservation, you'll have the choice to enjoy your guided tour of Sighisoara during the day (3 pm) or at night (7:30 pm). Both tours begin from the Clock Tower Museum in the city centre.

Day Tour at 3 pm

Vlad Tepes, Vlad III, Vlad the Impaler, Vlad Dracula... throughout history this 15th century prince of Wallachia has been known by many names and through many different legends. Which are true? Delve into the mysteries that shroud the Medieval ruler and his birthplace, the beautiful Romanian city of Sighisoara, on this guided tour.

We'll begin our discovery of Sighisoara's hidden secrets visiting the city's Clock Tower or Turnul cu Ceas, and travelling through time at the history museum inside. We'll then continue through the historic centre towards the old church, located on a hilltop that looks over the whole city.

As we stroll through the streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, our guide will reveal fascinating facts about the town's history and the secrets it hides. One of its main mysteries revolves around Vlad Tepes, and we'll pass by the house where this historic figure was born, learning why he was used as inspiration for Bram Stoker's legendary novel, Dracula, and investigating the vampiric mythology of the region.

The tour will come to an end near the Clock Tower, where the guide will recommend some of the city's top bars and restaurants so you can continue making the most of your time in Sighisoara.

Night Tour at 7:30 pm

The Clock Tower Museum will be closed by the time we start the tour, so instead of heading inside, we'll learn all about its history. At night, it takes on a sinister feel: the perfect atmosphere to discover if the vampires of Transylvania truly existed...

This nighttime walking tour of Sighisoara will take you past the birthplace of Dracula, or Vlad Tepes. Was this historical figure really so evil, or was it all just myth? The guide will reveal all as we wander through the dark streets of the walled city.

We'll bring the tour to an end under the starry Transylvanian sky in Sighisoara's old town.
