Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sofia and set off to discover Bulgaria's fascinating natural beauty, where Mount Vitosha will be the undisputed star of the show.
First, we'll stop at Golden Bridges, one of Bulgaria's most outstanding hiking areas. Here, we'll begin walking along the Stone River, perfect for discovering the nature of these lands. Did you know that it’s the largest “stone river” in the mountains and one of the area’s most iconic landmarks? In addition, we'll explore this part of the Balkans accompanied by an expert guide in the history of the area. You’ll learn all its secrets!
Afterwards, we'll head to the peculiar rock formation Momina Skala, located in the Troitza Gorge. Did you know that this place was home to hermits for centuries? The area is full of legends and archaeological finds that will leave you speechless. Here, you’ll have some free time to relax in the peaceful mountain setting.
We'll continue our journey, heading toward the beautiful Boyana Waterfall, a place you won't be able to resist photographing. It’s the biggest waterfall in Vitosha! From here, we’ll take a winding path that descends through a shady forest and rocky terrain to the starting point of the next trail.
We'll set out on a new hiking trail to explore Vitosha Mountain, one of Bulgaria’s most important national parks. Along the Kamen Del trail, we'll enjoy the incomparable landscapes of the mineral springs, as well as an unparalleled panoramic view of Sofia.
Finally, we’ll begin our return trip to Sofia. Before we arrive, we’ll stop at the Kulata viewpoint, at the foot of Vitosha Mountain. You’ll definitely want to take plenty of photos! We’ll end the tour at your hotel in Sofia, where we’ll say goodbye 8 hours after picking you up.
