Stockholm Archipelago Boat Ride
Boat Ride Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Skeppsbrokajen Kajplats, 104, where we'll board a boat for our tour of the Stockholm archipelago, leaving behind the bustling city.
First, we'll see the Royal Palace, located in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's old town, while the guide will share fascinating details about this monument, the Swedish royal family, and the country's local customs. Did you know this palace is considered one of Europe's largest palaces? It has over 600 rooms!
We'll sail past the island of Djurgården, a popular recreation area for locals and tourists alike. It's home to historical buildings and monuments, museums, galleries, the amusement park Gröna Lund, the open-air museum Skansen, and stretches of forest and meadows. Next, we'll pass by the southern district of Södermalm, known for its bohemian, alternative culture.
Afterward, we'll see the islet of Riddarholmen, which forms part of Gamla Stand, boasting many palaces dating back to the 17th century. You'll see the main landmark of the islet from afar, the Riddarholmen Church, where Swedish monarchs lie to rest. We'll also see the group of four small islands called Fjäderholmarna, administered as part of the Royal National City Park.
As you admire the natural scenery of the archipelago surrounding Stockholm, you'll also have the chance to enjoy a drink on your own from the bar on board the boat.
After 2 hours of enjoying the breathtaking views, we'll return to the starting point to conclude our boat ride.
