Pinglin & Elephant Mountain Tour
We'll meet you at the MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng metro station at 8 am and set off for the popular Pinglin district, only half an hour away.
Do you know why this rural area is so popular? It's one of the most important areas for tea production in the country. Here, we'll first stop at a local farm to learn a lot of interesting facts about the world's most popular beverage, and then we'll head to the Thousand Islands Lake to admire quite an unparalleled scenery.
After taking as many pictures of this beautiful lake as you like, we'll get back on the minibus and head to Tofu Street. This place is known for and named after its star product: stinky tofu. Dare to have a bite?
Before heading back to your hotel in Taipei, we'll go to Elephant Mountain for a nice hike. You might be wondering why it's called like that. Well, if you look closely from afar, you can see the shape of an elephant on the mountain. From this mountain, we'll have an amazing view of the city, and its tallest skyscraper: Taipei 101.
After the hike, we'll return to the bus and we'll drop you back at the starting point in Taipei between 4 and 4.30 pm.
