Madurodam, the Miniature City of the Netherlands

With a history stretching back over 70 years, Madurodam is one of the Netherlands’ main attractions. It's home to 430 models and over 50,000 miniature inhabitants. Everything is on a 1:25 scale: people, trains, cars, boats, and windmills that come to life and move, recreating Dutch culture, its commercial history, and its battle against the water.

21 interactive installations: become part of Dutch history. Create your own beats with DJ Armin van Buuren, load ships at the port of Rotterdam, or help Hansje Brinker save the country from a flood!
Indoor attractions: combine learning and fun at the indoor attractions. Travel back in time in New Amsterdam and discover the Dutch roots of the famous city of New York. At Dutch Masters, you’ll delve into the world of iconic artists such as Vermeer and Van Gogh through hidden paths within their famous paintings. At The Wind Chaser, you’ll feel the power of the wind and discover how the Dutch managed to harness it.
Outdoor fun: you can also enjoy the children’s play areas and Rivierenland, the water play area. On warm days, children can cool off and splash about, whilst in the colder months, you can take a pleasant stroll and enjoy a hot chocolate.
