Tour to Kvaløya Island & Fjord
Tour to Kvaløya Island & Fjords
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Tromsø. Then, in a comfortable minibus, we'll drive to the fifth largest island in Norway: Kvaløya!
Located between Tromsø and the Norwegian Sea, Kvaløya Island has landscapes that leave all visitors in awe. You'll find imposing peaks, picturesque fishing villages, and unique arctic fauna and flora. First, we'll stop at the Kvaløya Fjord, one of the most impressive in the country.
After taking in the incredible scenery of this enclave, we'll head to the island. As we travel along the Norwegian coast, we'll admire the colorful fishermen's huts in the area and the local fauna, such as reindeer. Plus, we'll learn a lot about the Sami culture!
We'll also observe different migratory birds that temporarily inhabit the island. Then, we'll arrive at the Sommarøy archipelago, where we'll take a pleasant walk to see its numerous islands and beaches. Did you know that they're called the "Summer Islands"?
Following the walk, we'll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch. And, finally, we'll start our way back to your hotel in Tromsø, where we'll finish the excursion after 6 hours of sightseeing.
