On this 5-day all-inclusive tour of Tunisia, we'll visit Hammamet, Douz, Tozeur, and other must-see destinations in this North African paradise. We'll even get to see where Star Wars and other famous movies were filmed.
5-Day Package Tour of Tunisia
Day 1: Tunis - Hammamet
Welcome to Tunis! We'll pick you up at the airport and set off southbound toward our first destination.
After a 1-hour road trip, we'll arrive at our accommodation in the coastal city of Hammamet, where you'll have the rest of the day free to rest and explore a bit on your own.
Day 2: Hammamet - El Djem - Matmata - Douz
After breakfast at the hotel in Hammamet, we'll head south to El Djem to visit the best-preserved Roman amphitheater in Africa. This "small Colosseum", declared a World Heritage Site, will absolutely blow you away.
We'll then continue our journey to the troglodyte dwellings in Matmata. These homes have been built by the Berbers inside the rocky landscape to protect themselves from the desert wind. We'll visit one of these cave houses and complete the experience with lunch in a troglodyte restaurant.
After lunch, we'll leave for Douz. There, depending on weather conditions and availability, those who want can take a tour of the desert by camel or rickshaw.
We'll conclude the day in a hotel in Douz, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Ong Jemel - Tozeur
After breakfast at the hotel in Douz, we'll go to Debebcha to admire its sandstone landscape. Then, we'll continue the route next to the famous Chott el Djerid salt lake.
After visiting this lake, we'll return to Tozeur for lunch. Lunch will take place at the hotel or in a local restaurant. After refueling, we'll continue our trip to Oung Jmel. Film buffs will surely recognize the scenery, as we'll visit the locations where Star Wars and The English Patient were filmed on this hill.
We'll conclude the third day in a hotel in Tozeur, where those who wish can enjoy dinner.
Day 4: Tozeur - Kairouan - Hammamet
After breakfast at the hotel in Tozeur, we'll head north towards the mountain oasis of Chebika and Tamerza. It's not a mirage!
After admiring the striking orchards in the middle of the desert, we'll leave for Gafsa to have lunch in a restaurant. After lunch, we'll go to Kairouan, the fourth-holiest city of Islam. In this city, declared a World Heritage Site, we'll see the exterior of the Great Mosque. Those who wish may also visit a traditional tapestry workshop.
From Kairouan, we'll finally head back to the hotel in Hammamet that we stayed in on the first night of the tour.
Day 5: Hammamet - Tunis capital
On the last day of our 5-day tour of Tunisia, you'll have breakfast included at the hotel in Hammamet, where we'll pick you up early enough to take you to the airport in Tunis. Have a safe flight back!

The tour includes 4 nights of full-board accommodation on days 2, 3, and 4 in the following hotels:
- Hammamet (2 nights): 5* hotel Mehari Hammamet or similar.
- Douz (1 night): 4* hotel Sahara Douz, Mouradi Douz, or similar.
- Tozeur (1 night): 4* hotel Mouradi, Ras el Ain, or similar.
