Valencia Tour + Tickets

Our guided tour of Valencia will start at the scheduled time in front of the emblematic Serranos Towers, in Plaza de los Fueros. Here, we'll begin to learn about the history of the city in the 15th century, a flourishing period for the Mediterranean city, both in terms of culture (transition from Gothic to Renaissance art) and the economy, as it was in this period that trade took the development of the city to new heights.

After learning about the significance of the Serranos Towers, the former gateway in Valencia's city walls, we'll dive into the city's historic center to explore part of the Carmen neighborhood. Do you know why it's one of Valencia's most distinctive areas? During our stroll through narrow streets, squares steeped in history, and centuries-old buildings, we'll discover numerous curiosities, anecdotes, and details that will reveal a hidden side of the city.

We'll continue our tour to the Church of San Nicolás, whose frescoes have earned it the popular nickname of the Valencian Sistine Chapel. Here, we'll not only admire its incredible interior but, thanks to the guide's explanations, we'll understand the meaning of the frescoes and the reasons why this church has become one of Valencia's most surprising and treasured landmarks.

We'll then continue our route with a visit to the Lonja de la Seda, a monumental jewel declared a World Heritage Site. Inside, we'll learn about the city's commercial importance during the Valencian Golden Age, a time when Valencia competed with the great European capitals. Its architecture will also transport us directly to that era of great splendor.

From the Lonja, we'll head to the Plaza del Mercado, one of the city's most vibrant spots, as well as the Plaza de la Virgen. Here, we'll explore Valencian traditions to discover how the past and present blend seamlessly.

In the final part of the tour, we'll go to the Plaza de la Reina, where the Royal Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken awaits, home to the statue of Valencia's patron saint. Finally, we'll enter the Valencia Cathedral, where we'll enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of this incredible temple, admiring the numerous works of sacred art it houses, such as the Santo Cáliz, considered by many to be the authentic Holy Grail.

We'll bring this 3-hour tour to an end inside the Valencia Cathedral, where you can stay longer to explore this impressive monument at your own pace.
