Antigua Guatemala Electric Scooter Tour
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Antigua Guatemala. From there, we’ll head to the location where we’ll assign you your all-terrain electric scooters. These four-wheeled vehicles are perfect for navigating Antigua’s cobblestone streets. All set? Let’s go!
We’ll start by heading to El Calvario, a 17th-century church known for its simple façade and prime location. From there, we’ll continue to the Escuela de Cristo, a religious complex with a distinctly austere architectural style, linked to Franciscan spirituality.
We’ll ride through Belén Park and take Calle de los Pasos, a street steeped in religious symbolism. This road connects several churches and is one of the most charming thoroughfares in Antigua Guatemala.
Next, we’ll head to the Church of San Francisco, one of Antigua’s most significant sites, both for its Baroque architecture and for housing the tomb of Saint Brother Pedro.
We’ll continue to Tanque La Unión, a 19th-century water structure where washerwomen once carried out their daily work. Here we’ll take a brief break to enjoy a traditional granita and snap some photos.
We’ll hop back on the scooters and head to San José Cathedral, located across from Central Park. A must-see! Nearby, we’ll venture down the iconic Calle del Arco, where we’ll admire the Arch of Santa Catalina. This structure was designed to allow nuns to pass through unseen.
Finally, we’ll return to the spot where we handed you the scooters, and from there, we’ll head to your hotel, where we’ll say goodbye after a total tour time of approximately 2 hours.
