Activity Details
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at 31 Westhaven Drive, next to pier Z. There, we’ll be waiting for you on board the boat that will take us on a cruise through Auckland. Ready to sail the waters of Saint Marys Bay?
As we move away, we’ll watch the city skyline open up before us along the bay. One of the points you won’t be able to take your eyes off is the iconic Sky Tower, standing 328 meters (1,076 feet) tall.
We’ll pass by the Auckland Harbour Bridge, an engineering work inaugurated in 1959 that connects the city with the north shore. Did you know that many people call it “the coathanger” because of its shape? We’ll tell you this and many other fun facts!
We’ll continue and spot the Chelsea sugar refinery, a century-old building that still perfumes the air with sweet aromas. We’ll go on until reaching Devonport, a coastal neighborhood with Victorian houses and naval tradition, where New Zealand’s military base is located.
Before you know it, we’ll arrive at the Bean Rock Lighthouse, the last wooden lighthouse still active in the country.
In addition, in the Hauraki Gulf, we’ll see Rangitoto Island, born from an eruption only 600 years ago. Did you know its silhouette is a local icon and that it’s covered by the largest pōhutukawa forest in the world? Get your cameras ready!
Finally, after 1.5 hours enjoying this boat ride in Auckland, we’ll return to the starting point, where the experience will end.
