The Auckland tourist bus is the most practical way to see the main tourist attractions in one of New Zealand's most important cities. You can hop on and off as many times as you want. You can't miss this!
Routes and Stops
The Auckland Explorer Bus offers the most comfortable tour to explore one of the most iconic cities in New Zealand. Onboard this double-decker open-top vehicle, you'll have some unforgettable panoramic views of the tourist attractions in the City of the Sails. The two bus routes will also be accompanied by a recorded audio guide in English.
The Red Tour covers the downtown and central Auckland areas, as well as some east highlights such as the Sky Tower, Auckland Art Gallery, Newmarket, the Auckland War Memorial Museum, and SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium.
The Blue Tour covers central and western Auckland, passing by spots such as Mt. Eden (Maungawhau in Maori), Auckland Zoo and MOTAT. Please keep in mind that the Blue Outer Tour is only available during New Zealand's summer season, between November and April.

How it Works
Depending on which ticket you've chosen, it'll be valid for 24 or 48 hours from the first time you show your ticket on the bus. Over this time, you can hop on and off as many times as you'd like.
Frequency and Schedule
The Auckland tourist bus will be available at the following times:
- Red route: every day of the year between 9 am and 4 pm with a frequency of every 30 minutes. If you want to take the full tour without stopping, please keep in mind that it takes around 70 minutes.
- Blue route: only operates from November to April between 9 am to 4 pm with a frequency of every 30 minutes. In total, the full tour takes around 50 minutes.
