Trans-Andean Bus Trip to Chile
We'll leave at the indicated time from your hotel in Bariloche, from where we'll border the Nahuel Huapi Lake and cross the Limay River. Continuing through the Argentine steppe we'll arrive at Villa La Angostura.
We'll continue the route along the lakes of Correntoso and Espejo and, from there, we'll ascend to an altitude of 1,321 meters (4,333 feet) to cross the border. After going through the appropriate formalities for the border crossing, we'll see the dividing milestone and enter Chilean territory.
As soon as we enter the neighboring country, we'll cross Puyehue National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve, until we reach the Rupanco farm. The route through Chilean territory will then take us to Puerto Octay and Frutillar. In the latter town, located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, we'll stop for an hour so that you can have lunch on your own.
Finally, after an 8 to 9-hour drive through the Andes Mountains, we'll conclude the tour in Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt. In these cities of Chilean Patagonia, we'll drop you off at the accommodation you indicate in your reservation.
Pickup points & times
We'll pick you up at the time we specify at the hotel in Bariloche that you indicate in your reservation, as long as it's located in the area up to kilometer 4.9 or between kilometers 5 and 25. You can choose one section or the other depending on the option you book.
If you prefer, we can also pick you up at the following meeting point in Bariloche: Mitre 534, Local 4, Centro Cívico.
