The Chain Bridge, Parliament, Buda Castle... This nighttime cruise along the Danube comes with an audio guide and a drink included, the perfect way to see Budapest all lit up after dark.
A Night on the Danube
A nighttime cruise along the Danube is honestly one of the best things you can do in Budapest. Once the sun goes down, Europe's second-longest river takes on a whole new life, and the city lights just make everything look that much more beautiful.
The cruise leaves at whatever time works best for you, departing from Pier 7 on Jane Haining rkp, just a short walk from the historic city center. Once you're on board, you'll have an audio guide and a drink waiting for you. You'll be able to choose from champagne, wine, beer, soda, or water.
Over the course of the cruise, you'll sail all the way from Petőfi Bridge to Margaret Island, taking in Budapest from one end to the other. And all of it bathed in the city's gorgeous nighttime glow.
You'll drift under some of Budapest's most famous bridges, the Chain Bridge, Elizabeth Bridge, and Liberty Bridge, while soaking in views of both the Buda and Pest sides of the city.
You'll also get to see the illuminated Parliament building, the Gellért Hotel, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, and Matthias Church all from the water.
After 1 hour on the river, the cruise circles back to where you started.
Which Monuments Will You See?
From the boat, you'll catch some of the city's most stunning illuminated landmarks:
- Chain Bridge
- Budapest Parliament
- Buda Castle
- Gellért Hotel
- Margaret Island
- Fisherman's Bastion
