La Boca Neighborhood Dramatized Tour
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the intersection of Dr. Del Valle Iberlucea and Av. Suárez, just a few meters from the Boca Juniors stadium, we'll begin this dramatized tour of La Boca. Ready to travel back to 19th-century Buenos Aires? Let’s go!
Once everyone has arrived, we’ll meet our guides. Two actors will lead us on a journey to relive what life was like for immigrants in the late 19th century and explore the role they played in La Boca during that time. After the introductions, we’ll watch various performances that will introduce us, in a fun way, to some of the most fascinating stories of this popular Buenos Aires neighborhood.
We’ll walk to the famous La Bombonera stadium, a true global icon that showcases, like no other place, the passion soccer inspires in Argentina. We’ll continue the theatrical tour by strolling to the railroad tracks, where we’ll see numerous murals that tell the story of this area. Of course, the theatrical performances will accompany us at every stop we make.
Nearby, we’ll find Caminito, the perfect spot to experience the lifestyle of the residents of the late 19th-century tenement buildings, also known as conventillos. You’ll also hear the lyrics of some of the city’s most famous tangos. Tango was born on the banks of the Río de la Plata, so it’s a must-see on this tour!
We’ll continue our tour along Pedro de Mendoza Avenue, the perfect spot to admire the work of renowned artist Benito Quinquela Martín and the iconic Vuelta de Rocha.
Finally, we’ll head to the banks of the Matanza River and stop in front of the Transbordador Bridge. After one last theatrical performance, we’ll say our goodbyes and wrap up the tour 1.5 hours later. See you next time!
