Loved and admired by all Argentinians, and all over the world, Diego Armando Maradona is far more than a football player. Discover his relationship with Buenos Aires with this guided tour!
Diego Maradona Tour
We'll meet at 9 am, at number 831 on Calle Defensa, and from there we'll set off to discover the most emblematic places in the life of one of the most iconic and well-loved Argentinians of all time, Diego Armando Maradona.
First of all, we'll visit the Santísimo Sacramento church, where a young Maradona tied the knot with his first wife. Since then, fans from far and wide have travelled here to see this special place.
Regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, on this tour you'll visit the most important places in Maradona's personal and professional life. Plus, our expert guide will explain to you why he is so well-loved in Argentina.
Our next stop is at the club that saw Maradona grow as a professional, the old Argentinos Juniors' stadium. This was where the footballer played professionally for the first time in 1976. We'll explore the club's museum, which still has the trophies and awards that Maradona achieved during this time. The player made such an impact on this club, that the team's current stadium is called the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona!
Our final stop will be no other than the Boca Junior's stadium. We'll take a complete tour of La Bombonera. Did you know that 'bombonera' means 'chocolate box' in Spanish, and the stadium has this nickname because of its unusual shape? You'll discover the entire stadium, including Maradona's private box. A must for Maradona and football fans!
After discovering these legendary places, we'll end the tour at La Bombonera at 2 pm.
