With these tickets to Home of Carlsberg, you’ll have the chance to visit the birthplace of Denmark’s iconic beer. The Carlsberg brewery is located right in the heart of Copenhagen, in the Vesterbro neighborhood, an area of the capital filled with bohemian cafés, art galleries, and designer shops. Welcome to the home of one of the world’s best beers!
As you walk through the doors, you’ll begin a tour that takes you from the brand’s founding in 1847 to the Carlsberg of today. Thanks to interactive exhibits, you’ll see why science has been the backbone of Carlsberg beer since its inception: microbiology, fermentation control, precision in processes… It’s a true art!
Of course, this story wouldn’t be complete without its main protagonists: J. C. Jacobsen and his son Carl Jacobsen. Two visions, one family name, and a conflict that left its mark on how Denmark’s most famous beer is brewed.
You’ll also get to admire one of the world’s largest bottle collections, with over 22,000 specimens. You’ll end the tour in the best possible way: by enjoying a soft drink or a beer at the Carlsberg Bar.
Don’t miss the stables, where 4 horses await you. Why are they so famous? When J. C. Jacobsen founded the brewery, he had around 200 horses transporting beer to merchants across Copenhagen.
