Private Walking Tour of Copenhagen
Enjoy a private walking tour of Copenhagen: make the most of your trip, exploring the Danish capital's most emblematic monuments with your own personal expert guide.
Copenhagen Private Walking Tour Itinerary
After meeting your expert English-speaking guide on the day of your tour, you'll begin your private walking tour of Copenhagen. Remember, you can pick the places of interest that you'd most like to see, tailoring your visit to your tastes.
Your tour guide will take you to the Danish capital's most iconic landmarks and monuments, keeping you entertained and informed with their explanations and fun facts. Head to Nyhavn, the 17th-century waterfront district characterised by its brightly-coloured houses, to admire the historic architecture and the traditional wooden boats harboured there. From there, you can enjoy a 20 minute stroll along the promenade to the statue of the Little Mermaid of Copenhagen, one of the city's most recognisable symbols.
Not far from the Mermaid, you'll find Kastellet, or "The Citadel", one of the best-preserved fortress in Northern Europe, constructed in the shape of a star. See the windmill inside the bastion, used to grind flour to provide food in case of a siege.
If you feel like delving deeper into the history of the Danish royals, you could also choose to visit the beautiful 17th century Renaissance-style Rosenborg Castle, or the Christiansborg Palace, still an important political building to this day, as the seat of the Danish parliament.
