On this private day trip along the UAE’s east coast, you’ll visit Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, and the heritage village of Najd Al Maqsar with a private guide.
After picking you up from your hotel in Dubai, we’ll leave the city behind and head toward the east coast. We’ll pass through the emirates of Sharjah and Kalba along a historic route that for centuries connected pearl and spice traders between the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.
After a journey of 1 hour and 20 minutes, we’ll arrive at our first stop: the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah, the second largest in the United Arab Emirates.
Its domes rise above the minarets like marble moons. We’ll walk through its spacious white stone courtyards while admiring the geometric carvings that perfectly reflect Islamic art.
After this visit, we’ll head to the Fujairah Museum. Upon arrival, we’ll explore the history of the communities that lived in this region long before the founding of the country. Among weapons, ceramics, and ancient jewelry, we’ll discover how Bedouin tribes shaped a fascinating cultural past.
Next, we’ll take a 25-minute drive north to Khor Fakkan, a coastal gem framed by the Al Hajar Mountains.
We’ll stroll through its main square and see the amphitheater and artificial waterfall, symbols of the emirate’s cultural revival. Did you know that this port was highly sought after by the Portuguese and the British due to its strategic location on the Indian Ocean? At this stop, you’ll have free time for lunch.
Finally, we’ll drive along winding roads up to the heritage village of Najd Al Maqsar, a restored fortress that preserves the memory of the earliest Arab settlements. From the top, we’ll enjoy views over the valley and learn about its history before returning to Dubai.
We’ll say our goodbyes by dropping you off at your hotel after a total of 9 hours.
