Hue Day Trip
Between 7 am and 7:15 am on the day of your excursion, we'll pick you up from your hotel or meeting point in central Hoi An and set off towards the north by minibus. We're headed to the former capital of Vietnam!
During the three-hour journey, we'll make a stop at the famous Cloud Passage and Lang Co Beach to take photos and admire the spectacular views. We'll then arrive in Hue for around midday, the perfect time to indulge in a delicious lunch in a local restaurant and taste the region's most typical dishes.
Full of energy after eating, we'll visit the Imperial Tomb of Khai Dinh, the most spectacular mausoleum in the city. Guarded by imposing dragons, this tomb's architecture is actually a fusion of Vietnamese and Western influences. We'll then head to the Thien Mu Pagoda, an impressive seven-storey structure.
We'll continue onwards to the Hue Citadel, the imperial city of the Vietnamese emperors. Entering under its imposing and intricately decorated arches, we'll explore the most important places of interest within the architectural complex. We'll discover the Hall of the Mandarins, the Ngo Mon or Meridian Gate, the Thai Hoa Palace and the Forbidden Purple City, before also visiting the Hue Museum of Royal Fine Arts, where we'll get to see 700 years worth of local craftsmanship.
After exploring the ancient citadel, we'll return to the bus for journey back to Hoi An, where we'll arrive at around 7:15 pm.
