Discover all the secrets, enigmas, and legends of the Holy City for the three principal monotheistic religions on this guided tour that heads down the streets of Jerusalem to discover its history and culture.
Jerusalem Walking Tour
After collecting you from the meeting point at 9 am, we will start our guided tour of the holy city of Jerusalem.
Our tour starts by climbing the Mount of Olives, which offers fantastic views across the beautiful old part of the city. We will continue to David's Tomb situated in a temple which is also home to the Cenacle, the room where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper.
We will stop at the Abbey of the Dormition to admire its incredible zodiac mosaic, which is one the best conserved in Jerusalem. Then in the Armenian Quarter, we will discover the legends hidden within the Tower of David.
In the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Western Wall, the last remaining remnants of the ancient Temple of Jerusalem that was destroyed by the Romans. In the nooks and crannies of this sacred wall, you can leave a little piece of paper with your wishes. Behind the wall, we will find the Dome of the Rock, a shrine to Islam.
Then we tour the Christian Quarter where you will encounter the Holy Sepulchre church, constructed on the point where, according to the scriptures, Jesus was crucified. We will also retrace his footsteps along the Via Dolorosa road where he carried the cross to his crucifixion.
The route through Jerusalem culminates in the modern district of the town, where you will see the magnificent architecture of the Israeli parliament and visit the Museum of the Holocaust.
After a tour of approximately 9 hours, we will take you back to the meeting point.
- On Saturdays and public holidays, the visit to the Museum of the Holocaust will be substituted for a visit to the Miskenot Sha´ananim, the first Jewish neighbourhood in the outskirts of the ancient city of Jerusalem.
- This tour departs from Jerusalem, but we also have a tour of Jerusalem departing from Tel Aviv.
