Jerusalem Walking Tour
Discover all the secrets, enigmas, and legends of the Holy City for the three principal monotheistic religions on this guided tour that heads down the streets of Jerusalem to discover its history and culture.
Jerusalem Walking Tour
After collecting you from your hotel at the scheduled time, we'll start our guided tour of the holy city of Jerusalem.
Our tour starts by climbing Mount Scopus, which offers fantastic views across the beautiful old part of the city. Then it's on to the Gardens of Gethsemani, the Church of All Nations as we head down to the old town.
We'll traverse HaKardo the main street from Jerusalem's Byzantine period. In the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Western Wall, the last remaining remnants of the ancient Temple of Jerusalem that was destroyed by the Romans. In the nooks and crannies of this sacred wall, you can leave a little piece of paper with your wishes. Behind the wall, we will find the Dome of the Rock, a shrine to Islam.
Then we tour the Christian Quarter where you will encounter the Holy Sepulchre church, constructed on the point where, according to the scriptures, Jesus was crucified. We will also retrace his footsteps along the Via Dolorosa road where he carried the cross to his crucifixion.
Towards the middle of the day, you will have an hour of free time to get a bite to eat at a local restaurant. Then we'll meet again, ready to visit the modern area of Jerusalem. We will see the architecture of the Parliament of Israel and visit the Holocaust Museum to review the saddest episodes in recent history.
Having spent 10 hours exploring Jerusalem, our tour will come to an end at your hotel.
Important
On Saturdays and public holidays, the visit to the Museum of the Holocaust will be substituted for a visit to the Miskenot Sha´ananim, the first Jewish neighbourhood in the outskirts of the ancient city of Jerusalem.
Reduced group size option
If you prefer to do the tour with a smaller group (maximum 19 people), you can choose the reduced group option. The pick-up times and the itinerary of the tour remain the same as the standard group tour.
