I highly recommend this monastery tour, especially with Harry, a Greek guide whose passion for sharing his knowledge is something I've rarely experienced. Entertaining and knowledgeable, he held our attention for over four hours. The monasteries in Mateora are truly unique. Thank you, Harry, and until next time! Opinion translated. Show original.

NADA recomendab

Honestly, it was a complete disappointment. This was due to the appalling organization. The day before the tour, they informed us that the time had been delayed, without any explanation, from 12:30 to 1:45 PM, and on the day itself, we ended up leaving at 2:30 PM because we had to wait for a group from Athens. Because of this, everything became chaotic. It was a Friday (two monasteries are closed then), another one closes at 3:00 PM (leaving at 2:30 PM, it was impossible to see it), and of the other three, we only saw two, and even then, very quickly. I would NOT recommend it at all.

The guide was excellent, a 100%, but making us wait to be picked up at the beginning was terrible, an hour and a half later, they even took us to a gas station to wait.
