After picking you up from your hotel in Medan at 8:30 am, we'll drive west to the town of Bohorok. The drive will take approximately three hours.
When we arrive in Bohorok, we'll give you an hour of free time to get some lunch at a local restaurant. We'll then meet back up again and make our way to Gunung Leuser National Park. Are you ready to meet the orangutans?
We'll hike through the Indonesian jungle to discover the beauty of this UNESCO-protected rainforest. During the two-and-a-half-hour trek, we will introduce you to the main inhabitants of Gunung Leuser National Park: its orangutans. We'll see them up close and discover how they live in the wild!
We'll learn all about the primates' diet, see how they climb trees, talk about their lifestyle and also explain the great danger that palm oil plantations pose to these animals.
At the end of the tour, we'll drop you back off at your hotel in Medan at 6 pm.
